| From the Night of the Hunter and Fools Parade to Mindhunter and the Moundsville documentary on PBS, the town of Moundsville has long been a center for filming movies. A production company making a 1980s “jailhouse movie” is now seeking extras (actors with small roles) in the Wheeling and Moundsville area. Filming starts September 9th and runs until October 4th around Wheeling, WV and Moundsville, WV (No filming on Saturdays or Sundays). “Some great names in this one but we aren’t able to disclose yet,” says the company. “Looking for Background Ages 18+ to portray a variety of roles such as Prisoners, Guards, Dept of Corrections Employees, Police, EMTs, Diner Patrons, etc.” Because the film takes place in the 1980s, tattoos are not permitted, and producers may require actors to get a haircut.
